No, we start at the very foundations, teaching you the correct techniques.
All of our training is structured and we treat all our new students as ‘unfit’. We allow you to train at your own pace with lots of encouragement. We know you will make rapid progress regardless of your physique, natural ability, condition or experience.
Before you take part in any form exercise you should consult your doctor and especially if you have or have had any medical condition or injury.
Most students train twice a week but more lessons are available if desired. Home practice is positively encouraged and all Instructors will help with advice.
Very few students want to enter competitions, but if any do, obviously we can accommodate them when they are proficient. Regular classes are for fitness, self-defence and enjoyment
Uniform is not compulsory, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing to exercise in.
Yes, we will supply all the training equipment needed at no charge. However, if you wish to use our Boxing gloves you are required to wear cotton inner gloves for hygienic reasons. If you don’t have any you can purchase them from us at the gym for $2.00 a pair.
Yes, there is a structured grading system from beginners to advance in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Thai Kickboxing and kids Freestyle Karate.
It depends on how often you can train and your level of commitment. We will sit down and discuss the membership options with you when you come in.
